Recording Session Sept 24th

Just to mention because it's cool and newsworthy. I'm recording for Adam Unsworth, french player with the Philly Orch. He was spotlighted in the movie "From the Inside Out". There are several musicians in the orchestra who also play jazz. There are 2 bass players, Lee and I forget the other guy. They play really well and were actually Jazz players before they got their bread and butter gig!!

Also there's Don Liuzzi the timpanist from the orchestra who also plays drumset. He sounds really good. These guys have a group call PhilOrch Jazz.

Back to Adam. Adam's CD is a cool approach to the trumpet, sax and trombone of the 50's and 60's. He's subbing those instruments for violin, french horn and bass clarinet. The compositions are really unique. It's great when someone who's primarily from the classical side interprets the jazz side. It really comes out unique.

Keep an eye out for the cd, i'll post something when it does.

Anyone else doing anything similar to this? different combinations or music? I usually do traditional combinations of stuff.
