Oct 27 and 28

A little late but I'll post it anyway.

I spent the weekend with Joe Piscopo and Jimmy Bruno. I met Joe on a gig in Syacuse, NY. We became friends and stayed in touch. I told Joe he should be doing jazz clubs and I hooked him up with Jimmy Bruno and Chris' Jazz Cafe and we had a great, great weekend!!! I really had a ball.

I'm putting this up after the fact, however keep an eye out because he's definitely coming back and with any luck he'll be convinced to get into the jazz world a little.

What he did for Chris' and the rest of us jazz musicians was really great. He sold out 4 shows to people who for the most part have never been in Chris'. That club has a lot of new business. There were many young people there who probably don't know a lot about jazz. They were exposed last night!!

So I'm really happy about this weekend. I love playing with Jimmy, Joe Nero and Andy Lalasis were on the gig, also. So it was a great band!!!
